Havertown was founded on a plot of land purchased by William Penn back in 1681, and is home to numerous places of historical significance. It is an unincorporated town of Haverford Township, that boasts over 30 recreational facilities and some top-flight schools. Known as a hub of Irish-Americans, Havertown jokingly call it the “33rd county,” and it has plenty of Irish pubs to prove their heritage.
