South Street borders South Philadelphia, more affectionately known as ‘South Philly,’ which extends to east to the Delaware River, and west of the Schuylkill River. Thousands of Philadelphia sports fans flock to the corner of Broad Street and Pattison Avenue to cheer on their beloved; Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, and 76ers at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. However, the sports complex might not be the most famous landmarks in South Philly; rather, the intersection of 9th Street and Passyunk Avenue might be; otherwise known as the home to Pat’s King of Steaks and Geno’s Steaks. This may be the most famous area to get a real Philly steak. Close to major highways, SEPTA’s Broad Street Line, and the Philadelphia Airport, South Philly is convenient for commuters or for people on the go. This area of the city has a real neighborhood feel with all of the advantages of living in a city.
